Destktop replacement possibilities

Thinking of selling my desktop (specs below) and buying a desktop replacement for university.

Something like one of the latest MacBook Pros, but preferably not an MBP.
Want a 'thin and light' style.
Budget of £1000 ($1500 as a guideline)
Preferably 14" or smaller. Can go 15" if it's worth it but would really rather not.
Specs, as good as possible for the money.
No focus on gaming but would be a plus.
4GB RAM minimum.
Needs an HDMI port.

There are a couple I've looked at.
The Samsung 900X3A looks amazing, with decent specs except for the fact it only has integrated graphics.
HP Envy - It's good but they don't sell it in a customisable format in the UK.

You might want to keep your SSD.

And I definitely will keep my SSD, unless I get one that already has one as standard.
