Your temps are beyond extremely hot. If you keep running it at those temps it will die. Double check the heatsink mounts as it sounds like it's been knocked loose. If the heatsink isn't loose then turn the pc off until you can reapply the thermal paste.

@ MoM, that's a AMD cpu, his idle temps are at a full load level.

i applied the thermal paste and i think it kinda worked but i had to leave after i put it on but i came back to my computer being off cause i left the game on but im going to try and see how long it lasts

How much paste did you apply? And what kind of paste is it?

im not sure what kind of paste it was but i baught it from a local computer shop near me for a $1 i gave me probley half the size of one of those little red and white mints prob less than that and i put on maybe 3/5 of it

If it doesn't have a name on it, it is probably the cheapest stuff. Not a good idea.

i ran orthos and it only lasted like 4 mins and Core 1 got to bout 100c than core 2 got to 120c than computer shut down

it had a name on it but it was kinda hard to read in this little package of white stuff all over it it was manufactored packaged i think cause it was somthing you had to tear open

Right now as im just on google chrome and itunes its at 47 c and 54 c
