Corsair H70 on a gtx 580 hydro copper 2 cooling idea

No because the gpu heatsink covers alot bigger area.

You can get an XSPC kit for 100 bucks which would work 10x better and only cost 30 bucks more and require no modifcation.
 
thx guys i think im jsut gonna watercool the 580 and not use a h70 lol but it would of been a good idea if it worked right :D
 
Sorry i know i am bumping an old thread but its relevant to the question

It is possible and you get quite good results out of it too, someone here modded a 480GTX with a H70 and achieved a drop of 34 C that's well good I thought

Oh, its quite possible, but not straight forward for someone without tools. The blog was sa very ingeneous mod.

However, the OP wants to use a hydro, which has the heat sink on already.

I wonder if Corsairs gonna steal his design now, as its quite a simple addition.
