I vote the OCZ Vertex 2, only 4GB less than the crucial, but, it is nearly $40-$50 cheaper (not sure on the current exchange rates) after the rebate and the fact it's just cheaper. I have had one for a few months now and it performs beautifully, but only time will tell if it's truly durable :)

Well as a SATA III drive the Crucial should perform better, but I haven't gotten the opportunity to try one yet. It has a Marvel Controller chip instead of the more popular Sandforce chip most of the other manufacturers are using.

I would save up a few more dollars and get a 120GB Agility 3 or Vertex 3 drive.

hi guys i recently made a gaming PC and wanted to get a SSD for my OS (windows 7 home premium 64bit)

please leave your opinion and any other recommendations if you have any. Thanks in advanced!
Here is a Site with lots of info: http://www.storagesearch.com/ssd-pcie.html

TomsHardware did a review:

SSD Roundup Part 2: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/6gb-s-ssd-hdd,2603.html

Purchase as fast and large a Drive as you can afford. 60 would be too small for me so I'll wait. A 120 will be more useful than a 60 as Slaymate has suggested.

You definitely want the newer Controller (or a huge Drive with an old Controller for a huge discount). Something for less than $150 is likely to have some issues (write speed).

Check the Reviews before you buy. Make sure it is 'Laptop Size' for future use.
