I've installed an ethernet card before and a graphics card before, i've reformatted many times/updated drives for it... but other than that I'm not sure if these are all compatible. any feedback would be soo appreciated!

would you guys recommend any other pieces for a budget of 650

one more question, my old computer is using windows xp andddd my moms old computer has windows 7 cd key (no boot disc, she bought e-machhines) anyway I have the boot disk for windows xp, can I install xp then upgrade it online through the windows site? Then skip having to buy a fresh copy?

First things first, your power supply is not strong enough, you should go up to like 650W or something like that and you want good Amps too

And you can't upgrade to Windows 7 from Windows XP, you can only upgrade from Vista, so you will need to buy a fresh copy

I think Newegg.com - CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 V2 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply would also work, and it's cheaper after rebate. Newegg.com - OCZ Fatal1ty 550W Modular Gaming Power Supply compatible with Intel Sandybridge Core i3 i5 i7 and AMD Phenom would also be a good PSU, I think.

Newegg.com - ASUS CuCore Series EAH5770 CuCore/2DI/1GD5 Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card is a much cheaper version of the 5770, unless that one you have is overclocked/superclocked, they should get about the same performance.

If you need a MicroATX mobo, I think Newegg.com - MSI 760GM-P35 AM3 AMD 760G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard would work.

In case that mobo can't support 1600 speed, Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-4GBRL those should work fine for the RAM. (You'd probably want to wait for someone else to answer that.)
