Sound Good For Gaming?

Hello all! I'm building a new computer, mainly because my current factory one is complete crap, but anyways, please don't hesitate to suggest parts other than the ones below, and please tell me if a part is bottlenecking another!

I'd love to critique it but all of your links are broken.

Re: Sound Good For Gaming?

It looks good. Patriot is not the powerhouse or RAM that they once were but they still work.

For the kind of money you are talking about I would go with two hard drives; one for my OS/programs and one for storage. You could go with a SSD for you OS as long as you set up all of your storage (documents, page file, etc) to your storage drive, or even use a three drive setup (SSD, program disk, storage disk).

Re: Sound Good For Gaming?

That power supply is a very good unit, but it's really a little overboard pricewise. This Corsair power supply is one of the highest rated products Newegg sells and it's $70 cheaper.
Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V v2.2 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

I would skip the Patriot memory. Those modules are rated for 1.65v and the P67/Z68 chipset is designed for 1.5v modules. I just order a set of these which are only $89.99 if you use Promo Code EMCKDJF25.

Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL

But to be truthful, unless your planning on torturing your PC like I do, you really would be best off with a set of these.

Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

How big an SSD would I need to use it as a boot drive?
