Hey all, I'm new to the forum, so first I just wanted to say hi..

Ok here's what I'm looking to do.

Is there a way I can connect my Blu-Ray disk player to my laptop via a network cable and share the wireless internet connection from my laptop to the Blu-Ray player??

So you're wanting to get internet to your BluRay player, correct? Why don't you just run a cable from your router to your player?

If that's not an option, the only way you would be able to do this is if you are able to manually configure the network information (IP, subnet mask, gateway, etc) of the BluRay player so you can set up Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) from the laptop to the BluRay player. You would also most likely need to have a crossover ethernet cable (not just a regular ethernet cable), unless both your laptop and BluRay player have auto-sensing ports (can't remember the exact name for it).
