Alright here's an updated build, I got some help from a friend and he guarantees me this will be able to run any current game smoothly at medium-high settings. I want to see what you guys think, though.

Motherboard: MSI 880GMA-E53 AM3 AMD 880G SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor

GPU/Video Card: XFX HD-577X-ZNLC Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

PSU: RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Modular LED Power Supply

Case: COOLER MASTER Elite 430 RC-430-KWN1 Black Steel / Plastic Computer Case

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model

Disk Drive: ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM

Total cost would be $540 with shipping and before rebates. Thanks for all your help, and barring any last minute opinions, I'll be ordering the parts for this tommorow.

You need hard drive, optical? Are you going to overclock?

Change that RAM. Get this: Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
Faster speed.

PSU: Get a Corsair 650TX: Newegg.com - CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
With that 500W you posted, you are almost choking it.

Even if you don't overclock, you need to keep your CPU cool. The stock heatsink that comes with the AMD CPU isn't gunna cut it. I like Xigmatek. Take a look around.

Oh yea, I dunno about hard drives or disk drives so need recommendations for those. That PSU is a bit expensive, considering the one in my original post is marked at 45, can I get away with something cheaper? And I've never overclocked before, so i don't know if I will, but I'll definitely consider it if it gives a sizeable boost to performance.

This better? Newegg.com - Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W Continuous Power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

If you want to jump into the SSD world, you could go with a 60GB one, install Windows on it, just all your games on a separate drives: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227550

And/Or

Go with this big daddy: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...2136742&cm_re=wd_black-_-22-136-742-_-Product
Black models of Western Digital are meant to go fast.

I'm guessing that budget is only for the tower, and doesn't include the OS, monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.

Will it be a lot better than my original? seems like 20W isn't much of a difference.

There is more than just a 20w difference between the Cooler Master and Antec psu. If you look at the specs more closely the Antec beats the Coolermaster one by 120w+.

I'm guessing that budget is only for the tower, and doesn't include the OS, monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.

Yes. I already have a keyboard mouse and OS, and I'm going to use my TV as the monitor.

edit**
updated build in first post, took some advice from you guys and a friend as well. What do you think?

Thanks for the help guys, although a bunch of people have told me that AM3 is basically a dead socket and to go for intel i3 or i52500k with an 1155 mobo, so I've redone the build. Here's the new one, tell me what you think.

Monitor: Acer P215HBbd Black 21.5" 5ms Full HD WideScreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ACM 50,000:1 (1,000:1)

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor

MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

GPU: XFX HD-577X-ZNLC Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model

HARD DRIVE: Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

DISK DRIVE: LITE-ON Black 24X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 24X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA CD/DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM

CASE: Rosewill FUTURE Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case, come with Four Fans-2x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan,1x Top 120mm Fan,1x Rear 120mm Fan

PSU: Rosewill Green Series RG630-S12 630W Continuous @40°C,80 PLUS Certified, Single 12V Rail, Active PFC "Compatible with Core i7,i5" Power Supply

Grand Total=$831.94

That's including shipping and before rebates, of which I believe $30 are available. So all in all it'll run me about $800, couple hundred over my budget but I can squeeze it in, for a hopefully futureproof system that will be able to run all the newest games smoothly at high to max settings. What do you guys think? Will this all work together, and make for a good gaming pc capable of playing BC2, COD:BO, WoW, HoN, and BF3 when it comes out?
