Video card going bad?

Lately I've been noticing some strange things with my computer.

I've been getting artifacts (like what you would get in a game if your video card is overclocked to high) when running normal programs like Firefox or even just Explorer windows. I've also noticed that my screen has been flickering and it never used to do that. I use my Xbox 360 on my computer monitor and it doesn't flicker nor do I get any artifacts so I know it's not a bad screen. What do you guys think?

Ensure there is not a blanket of heat trapping dust inside the case, and that all your fans are spinning properly.
