This is the CPU fan in question:

The fan itself works fine actually, but that little black contoller box broke, and it was on the lowest setting when it broke. When ever you adjust the dial it does nothing for the fan and requires pliers to turn it. So now I get a BSOD when the CPU overheats. It has to be a heat issue because I can play a game for about 2 hours then it will BSOD. When the system comes back up it will continue getting BSOD until I let it cool for a few hours.
I need to know is there a way to manually set that fans speed? I can't find anything in bios on it.
