If I was shopping on a budget I would go with these.

If I was slightly more concerned about performance but budget was still a factor I would go with these.

If price was of no concern then I would buy these.

I would go with the second set, the Ripjaws X Cas 8 modules.

The Corsair Vengeance memory kits are also good, I have a 8GB (2x4GB) set of DDR3 1600 Cas 8 myself. But the heatspreaders are really to tall and they interfere with some heatsinks, plus they are cheaply made (the heatspreaders). If I could do it all over again I would of bought a kit of Ripjaws.

should i go with a 650w power supply or a 850w or something in between?

depends on what are the rest of your parts.
650w is enough for majority of people.
