If you want a 5770, get the XFX one, lifetime warranty. Cheaper, too.

Make sure the Windows 7 is 64-bit. Otherwise you can't use your full RAM.

the pci express slot for my motherboard is 2.0 x16 the xfx radeon 5770 one is 2.1 x16 would they still work together?

2.1 is back compatible with 2.0, the full bandwidth of 2.1 isn't really anything special.
