Building new computer, suggestions?

My uncle is in dire need of a new computer, but doesn't have a lot of money to spend.

I told him I would price out a computer for me to build for him.. how does it look?

Let me know if you see any incompatibilities or if you know a better part for the same price or cheaper.

Everything looks fine, but you could save a lot of money and gain much performance with AMD. I'll let Trotter get this one.

Here's some savings:

The CPU is potentially unlockable to a quad. The motherboard has an ATI Radeon HD 4250 which will handle casual games and older titles decently (about equal to a 9600GT) so you could probably get away with dropping the video card unless he is a gamer. If he IS a gamer then take the savings and go with a beefier card.

You didn't specify whether the hard drive he has is SATA or ATA/IDE. The board I linked to will handle either. It can also unlock cores and has VGA, DVI, and HDMI ports so he could use either a monitor or TV with it.

What will he be using the computer for? If he's not a gamer you won't need a video card with that motherboard and CPU. And you can always buy one later if he wants to upgrade.
