Graphics Card Problem

My stupid friend by accidently put a metal stick on one of my graphics cards and the system shut off after a loud sound. Now when trying to boot up the system is stuck on the boot screen. It offers to go to the Setup screen and the bios screen however the bios screen does not open. I have the Asus 3 rampage extreme and 2 evga nvidia gtx 570 graphics cards. What do i do? is something fried?

Pull the card out that got the stick put on it. If it boots, card is most likely fried.

More than the card, possible the whole motherboard is gone too.

Could be, but we have to verify first if the GFX card is dead. Motherboard comes later.
