if a close my laptop cover with sleep mode disabled, will it still goto sleep?
i turned off sleep mode from the control panel, but if i close my laptop cover will it still go to sleep, or would it stay on?

If you go into powerf saving modes, you can set what it does.

i have not tried, because i dont know how to tell if it has gone into sleep mode or not

Go into the power settings and setup how the computer reacts when you close the lid.
