A jigsaw and some clamps are a plus, hacksaw, razor knife, screwdrivers, hammer, sanding pad or a sander, drill and drill bits, a rivet gun could be useful, a metal brake would lead to a really nice case. You'd be surprised at how many different people have or have access to a metal brake, if you know any construction workers they may have access to one. I live in the country, way out in the woods and I can think of 4 places within a 15 minutes drive where I could use one or get the work done for cheap (or you could build your own brakeplans.pdf.) If you know anyone with a welder that could also help. One of these Modder Ruler can be really helpful.
