I'm looking to build a gaming rig for under $1200. So far this is my build:

Already have a mouse, disk drive, and operating system is free for me.
I accounted for a keyboard in my price which is currently $1116, with Mail-In-Rebates this price will be: $1034.

I have already purchased the RAM and HDD, but please let me know how this looks, and if everything is compatible in this build, and if it will all fit in my case. It's my first build so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

The Raidmax power supply is a bad choice, buy a more reliable unit even if it has less watts.

This would be a good choice.

This is a little cheaper.

Well, i would say get sandy bridge Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more! but I'm not sure if that triple channel memory will work with that motherboard...anyone know?

i don't think that the mobo does support triple channel but im not 100% about that

the sandy bridge works with dual channel. I would consider buying a i5 2500, or the 2500k if you're overclocking, they are a lot faster than the old i7 950.

no such thing as "X" channel memory.

you put in 2 sticks of the triple channel kit, it becomes dual channel.
you buy 2 kits of dual channel memory, put 3 sticks in a triple channel board, it becomes triple channel.

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought as much being that you can buy individual sticks, but I wasn't sure.
