Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie here and would love to hear some input. This is my first build, and I know nothing about this but I have built many houses and cars, so how hard could this be?

I'm looking for a computer to run CAD with blazing speed (Softplan 2012) as well as routine office work ( Quickbooks, internet, word/spreadsheet documents) Price isn't really an issue and I would like to be able to hold on to this unit for a few years and upgrade it as required.

I've read many posts, found some sample builds and put together what i think I need. Any advice anyone? Anything else I'm missing? Thanks a lot. This is a great forum.

The Rosewell PCI network adapter is a waste of money. The P6X58D has a good network adapter built-in.

The Cooler Master 850W power supply is bigger than you need and it's expensive for the power it produces. This is a better choice and it's large enough to support a 2nd GTX 460 later if you decide to go SLI.

Newegg.com - CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W ATX12V v2.31/ EPS12V v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC High Performance Power Supply

I don't see a CPU listed? I recommend looking into the new Intel i7 2600K with a P67 motherboard.
