Memory Pulled from a Mac

I pulled memory to sell from my buddys Mac that was broken. Its PC3-8500s. I don't know whether to sell it as mac ram of just laptop ram. Will this ram work only in a mac or will it work in any laptop?

What Mac did you take it out of?

Chances are seeing as it's PC3-8500, it will work in anything that supports the standard.

It was a 17" macbook pro, about year and half or two years old

It should work in any laptop that takes pc3-8500.

The hardware isn't computer specific. Mac's use intel processors, normal hard drives and normal ram. The RAM will work with anything that can run PC3-8500.

Yea this will work in ANY PC that supports that ram, the proprietary ram (not technically differing either it just had the notch in the wrong place) was only really in effect back in the PPC days.
