k and what happens when the 2 million write cycles are done with? i wanna get a fast hard drive but can last me long time as well..i do alot on my computer so i know those 2 million write cycles would be gone fast

When the 2 million cycles are done, your data can no longer be read. I have my OCZ Vertex since September. It's still working fine. No one can really say how long it lasts, in years, because it is relatively a new product.

Basically you can't go wrong. I don't know any any that are worse than a HDD so..

That said the OCZ Drives especially the newest ones are very nice.

Definitely not.

SSD are much faster and also silent. VelociRaptor are considerbly slower (slower than even pretty bad SSD's) and are very loud and annoying.

Velociraptors are great drives, but, it would take a few of them in raid 0 to even somewhat come close to real world results that an SSD can give you. I just got a 60GB OCZ Vertex 2 from newegg for ~100 (love promo codes and instant rebates ) regular price on that sucker is $160 X_X
