My point was without the aforementioned "knowledge", it might be easier to reach a stable OC with a more effective cooler.

Hm the CORSAIR H70 is definitely looking like a good option. I assume it is fairly easy to install?

And as for the other high-end air cooler my RAM is the G.SKILL I listed in my original post so I'm not sure if that is too tall or not.

It's as easy to install as any other heatsink.
