Hey all. I just got this hard drive brand new from Newegg and it seems that it is making a high pitch noise when it is active in activity. In other words, whenever the HDD activity light is lit up, this high pitch noise is made. I put my ear next to the HDD in the case and it seems to definitely be coming from the HDD itself. Also, whenever there is no HDD activity, the noise isn't there it seems. I'm not sure what I should do. I'm in the process of installing and updating for a completely new computer build. In my main computer, I am using a similar HDD but it is 750GB. It doesn't make this noise. What does this noise mean? Will the HDD die soon? Should I RMA it and get a replacement? This computer is for a family member as a bday gift this Wednesday. The sound really isn't all that much noticeable unless the room is very quiet....
