How to go into Video/Game mode on old Sanyo TV without remote?

We had a nasty storm a few nights ago and as a result we had a power surge. My monitor as well as my moms monitor both went out (different issues) and since that was my primary display for my xbox I have to use my old *** Sanyo tv from like 2001.


I don't have the remote though, and can't figure out how to switch to video mode.

I've gone to the menu and I see an option for "Game" but when I highlight it, nothing happens.

I also have an RCA universal remote, but I cant get it to work with my tv for ****. I've tried following numerous online instructions and went to the RCA website and snatched the sanyo codes for the remote, but still no luck. I got the tv to turn off and on with the remote but after it turned off and on it didnt respond at all.

I had also given up and about after like 25 minutes of me laying on my bed my tv turned on by itself, which is creepy but whatever.

Any advice?

Does the RCA universal remote state anywhere that it supports Sanyo TVs?
You could try looking for another universal remotes that claims to support Sanyo.
