Hi.
Just wondering if this is possible as the keyboard PS/2 port, though working, is jammed up with something [I'm thinking it may be the plastic wedge from a previous keyboard].

I've tried plugging it in the mouse port and restarting but nothing happens. I know the keyboard works as it sort of works if I hold it in place [in the blocked up k/b port].

Wondering if there's something in the BIOS that I have to change to swap over the PS/2 ports?

Thanks.

How old is your system? Some older ones have designated ports. The newer age ones do not care. There are even Y splitters that fit into one port.

The motherboard is an old ECS [L4S82A], so I'd guess it's got designated ports. Does that mean they can't be changed?
Nice to know the new ones can, can you plug mouse or keyboard into either and they work whatever?
I solved this anyway by realising the plastic bit isn't necessary, so pulled it out of an old keyboard I found on the street and it works fine.
