2.5" hard drive for $60

I've been out of the loop for a while and am looking to get a new hard drive for my laptop for around $60. I'm not sure what brands to avoid when buying notebook hard drives these days. I'm also not sure weather to get 5400RPM or 7200RPM because I've heard that with a 7200RPM hard drive you lose battery life.

Also, does anyone know a good external enclosure that has FireWire (preferably 800) and USB?

Western Digital or Seagate. Yes, 7200 does kill battery life. Get 5400.

I don't know any "good" enclosures for 2.5". I always liked Icy Dock, but their USB + 1394 are expensive. Maybe go eSATA?

I don't have any computers with eSATA, and I'd like to use FireWire because it's faster than USB and I won't have to use two USB connectors or an external power supply to power the drive.
