This is my first build and im really lost, just wanted to know if these parts would work

i am shipping from the UK and i want a computer that can play games well as well as run applications such as visual basic, with a £400 budget

That's a pretty tight budget depending on what extras you need (monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers) anything you can take over from your old PC (assume you had one) will help, for example optical drives.

i dont need to worry about peripherals ive still got my screen, speakers, modem, keyboard and mouse. tht are perfectly fine
