Hey Everyone,
This past weekend I was asked to take a look at a friends laptop because he was having the peculiar problem in that the screen resolution was continually resetting upon startup. It sounded much like a driver problem so I uninstalled the onboard chipset drivers and reinstalled them from the manufacturer's website.
The laptop is an LG e510 running Windows Vista Business with a Mobile Intel GL 960 Express series chipset. I installed driver Ver. 7.14.10.1409 for Vista to start with as it was the original factory default driver.
It appeared to have worked, but not more than 4 reboots later the problem persisted.
Any ideas? LG's support hasn't been much help other than to suggest reinstalling the driver over and over again.
