Whining fan?

I have recently blown my computer out with compressed air meant for computers (including the CPU heatsink). Just recently, about 5 hours later, my CPU fan is producing a high pitched whine. If i turn the CPU fan down to it's lowest setting, the whine becomes a little quieter. This fan whine is giving me a headache currently.
Is there any way to prevent the fan from whining? It never did it before.

Get a new one. It could be the fan bearing that is off.

You can try and lubricate the fan with a bit of oil. It might stop the whinning.
The housing for it is usually where the label is which has a rubber-seal under it that would allow you to drop the lube in.

The problem with that is how the fan is installed into the heatsink, it isn't removable. I would have to send it to the company. Cpu fan is a ZALMAN 9700 110mm LED.

Actually, you can remove it. There are 2 tiny screws on the back of the fan.
