Answers ? Suggestions? Built and using but not quite right. Wrong memory listed/Temperature

I built a machine in an mATX form factor. There are two things that I m not sure about.

1. I have 6gb Corsair Dominator Tri-memory in the three slots as shown in the manual, but windows sys info says 4gb Physical memory. This cannot be correct?

2. My temperatures according to Core Temp 99.7 idles in the 50's and is often in the 60's and occasionally the 70's under load. This seems hot to me. My Sager NP8760 laptop running the same software idles in the mid 40's and will one occasion hit 60' running AutoCad and the other heavy programs.

On this machine I have used the ASUS overclocking utility and just selected "i950" which as I understand it adjusts everything for i950 like performance. If I remember correctly, even without the overclock, temperatures remain the same, as they do even with the case open an all 6 fans running.

Its youre case, youre not getting good cooling flow.... I have my 950 at 4.1 and get 77ish load.

Right now the case is open on 3 sides so it's basically a skeleton, all 6 fans are running and its very cool in the room. The temp is the same as with the case closed. What should be the temp of the i930? I mean the general temp not with extreme cooling.

I idle with a high vcore in the high 30-40's, and load on linx at 80C. So 930 idle should be low to mid 30's.

See, you need to find youe Vcore, as thats your heat maker. You are also running the stock cooling it looks.
