Fans: which bearing type is best?

just looking to buy a fan or two that will be quiet and reliable, just wondering what your opinions were on the various types of bearings.

I never worry about the bearing. The RPM is the most important for quiet. Lower the RPM, less the noise.

As far as fans go, the most efficient and highly recommended fans are Yate Loons. Go here http://www.petrastechshop.com/ and search Yate Loons. Yate Loon's are some of the better fans out there in my opinion, and they have different models so you can chose if you want LED's or not and higher / lower CFM or higher / lower DBa.

Noctua fans are very good and there very quiet, but there also very expensive.

For a case fan, I'm with Peter, a Yate Loon is hard to beat for the money.

Guess that's just because I own 4 Noctua fans. But yes, you do pay the price.
