Hey guys ive been looking over some builds posted around the place and it seems that a lot of build these days have a big HDD and a small SSD, like 64gigs or whatever, what is the reason for this primarily? is it to install your OS on for faster boots? or something similar? thanks for your assistance guys.

I believe it is so that the overall system is faster. With about 32GB and up you can install a couple games onto a SSD. This will cause your game to load faster and improve gaming performance. Usually the large HDD is just for storage for media and other such things.
Yes an OS installed onto an SSD will casue faster boots.

Yes, I own an OCZ Vertex 60GB SSD myself. My computer loads from POST to OS desktop, no circle, in ~20seconds. Actually, a 30GB is a bit small, IMO. I previously had a Vertex 30GB, and I was running out of space, even when I installed programs on my storage drive. But now with my 60GB, I have 17GB free.
