Need Help overclocking laptop

hi dose any one know how to overclock a AMD Athlon QL-62 x2. if you do please explain to me how in simple terms as i have never overclocked before. thanks.

Ram = 3GB DDR2-800

Bus Clock: 133 megahertz

Ocing a laptop isn't recommended because of heat problems. And are you sure your bios is unlocked? If it's unlocked you're a lucky guy, normally they are locked.

While you most likely can not overclock in the BIOS, you can use a program to set the FSB within windows. Google SetFSB.

I successfully overclocked my P7450 from 2.13 -> 2.66 GHz while maintaining stability and low temps. It is possible depending on your chip. There wasn't really much of a noticeable difference, though.

First off thanks for the help. i tried SetFSB but unfortunately not compatible. however do you think adding another gig of ram will help improve performance?

Adding ram will definitely help if you have less than 4gbs.


I do not recommend overclocking a laptop in anyway.
