Iam building a new pc, with I7 950 cpu, evga x58 ftw3 mobo, 3x2gb 1600 ddr3 corsair dominator ram, amd 5570hd gpu, noctua nh-d14 cpu cooler, cooler master 922 haf case, wd cavair black hdd 1tb. Question is I have a new antec 550 watt atx12v v2.3 basiq plus, 80 plus certified psu that I want to use until I can get a corsair 850 watt later. So is 550 watts enough for the moment? Thanks for any replies. I did do the antec power calculator and it stated that I would need about 400 watts but thought I would ask for second opinion.

I had my old q6600 oc'd with 260s sli and it only drew 520 watts full out on both cards and cpu.

550W should be plenty. Antec's PSU's are solid and do not vary output, and I know the 12V rails will be plenty. Especially since you are only tunning a single 5570 as the GPU is where most of the power draw is.
