Okay...... Thats not an HDMI, its a DVI port but not for a computer..

So youre right.

So your best option is to get a cheaper card as the out put.......n or switch gtx 460 like this:
Newegg.com - ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU TOP/2DI/768MD5 GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 768MB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
or
Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-1366-TR GeForce GTX 460 SE (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

And reuse your 7600 as the output.

Or get a new TV :)

Hey patonb

I see what you said was correct. Prices are dropping.

Do you think when you get the time you could check out a good build for me.

Sorry to be impatient

But are there any new suggestions since the new sandy bridge came out today

I am really excited about ordering these parts and putting this new gaming system together

I would go with a better mobo if you think you'll ever be interested in SLI or Crossfire. It's says it has (2) PCI-eX16 slots but on the Asus Website P8P67 webpage it says:
  • 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16)
  • 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 * (max. at x4 mode [Black])
  • 2 x PCIe 2.0 x1
  • 3 x PCI
*The PCIEX16_2 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX1_1 slot, PCIEX1_2 slot and USB3_34 connector. The PCIEX16_2 runs at x1 mode by default for system resource optimization.

That means the 2nd PCI-eX16 slot is a PhysX slot or a crippled slot.

The slightly more expensive boards should allow the (2) PCI-eX16 slots to run at 8X/8X when both are in use and I've seen a few models that support 16X/16X but they cost Top Dollar.

Edit:
This is the cpu you want to get.
Newegg.com - Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I72600K

Edit: This looks like a good board but Newegg doesn't have them in stock yet.

Ok one last question

I still need to hook up a second video card (With Svideo) so i can watch my shows on my TV

I am not sure what video card I can use, my old one is staying in my present system

I am hoping to find a cheap video card (with svideo) that I can use. I will only be using it for my shows on my TV

Any suggestions ?
