Lets say I have 2 WD raptor drives in RAID 0. If I get a 3rd hard drive used for multimedia storage could I put that in RAID 1 with the 2 Raptors?

So basically I would want it to be like this. All of the files (except OS and apps) that I save on the raptors would also be saved to the larger 3rd HD. But I would want files to be able to be put on the larger 3rd HD that would not go onto the raptors.

I hope I made that clear and is that possible?

im nota raid expert at all, and someone can correct me if im rong, but as far as i know, the answer is "No".

i read somewere b4.. i dont remember all the specifics, but it went like this.... i dont remember if it was just intelse new LGA bourds, or the LGA BTX's, but thy have a new matrix raid aray, that allows u to partition 2 equally sized HD's, and use half in Raid0, and the other half in Raid1.(example- both HD's split in half... section 1 from HD1 and HD2 is Raid0, section 2 from HD1 and HD2 is raid1)

thats the reason why i assume u cannot do what your asking with your mobo.
