Hard drive not appearing in My Computer

Hello!
I have an internal Western Digital caviar green hard drive that I have been using for about a year. Yesterday when I was watching a movie my computer froze when I restarted it the F drive has disappeared from "My computer". It still appears in both BIOS and Device Manager however it does not appear in Disk Management, it says Disk 0 Dynamic, Import failed.

Would you please advise if there is anything I can do to bring the hard drive back or recover the data. Thank you!

I am afraid that you are right. I would loose about 3 months worth of data since last back up. Can somebody recomend a good program that I could you to recover some of that data?

Recuva is the program we recommend.

Rescuva was not able to see the hard drive however I was able to get all the files back using Stellar Phoenix. Thank you for your help.
