I bought a graphics card very cheap which is better than my current one. Only problem is, it doesn't have any power connectors. It is a ATI hd 2900xt and it needs a 6pin and a 8pin pci-e connector. According to ATI it can handle 2 6 pins which I might get instead. What I was wondering is if I get a molex y splitter and 2 of these 4 Pin Molex to 6 Pin PCI-E power adapter converter on eBay (end time 25-Dec-10 16:05:21 GMT) would there be enough power to the graphics card? And also if the product in the link would actually fit into the graphics card as I am not sure if that 6 pin is the right adapter?
By the way I am a bit of a noob when it comes to cabling and confusing stuff so be kind :D

Many thanks for any help in advance
James

Those converters work, but they are only meant to be temporary solutions.

So you would be essentially using one 4-pin molex connector to provide the power rated from a 6-pin and 8-pin PCI-E connector? It doesn't sound like the best solution, although it may work.

Would you mind linking your PSU and mobo?
