Which is better? My onboard graphics or vid card?

I have this mobo:
Newegg.com - BIOSTAR A760G M2+ AM2+/AM2 AMD 760G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

I have a Diamond Radeon X1550 vid card. Both, as you know are - shall we say - modest. However, which is a more powerful graphics engine? I'm leaning towards the X1550, but I can't find anywhere on the internet comparing hardware added GPU's vs. integrated.

There's not much information, but most likely the onboard video has to steal some RAM to power the video. I'd go with a card any day.
