Hey guys, so I was going through iBuypower yesterday and found a nice Intel Build.
So I was originally going to go with a budget of $1k, but after seeing the price of the parts on ibuypower and seeing how much of an upgrade were to the ones that I was gonna use, I got to think..
The original build was this: (I'll put links to the products that don't seem like people have heard of before..)
CoolerMaster HAF 922
Asus M4A89GTD PRO: Newegg.com - ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890GX HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD 1055T 6 Core Proccessor
Corsair 850 Watt power supply
Radeon 6850
Corsair (not sure on this one) : 1333 4gb Ram
1tb hard drive
blue ray reader/writer 24x
And that's about it I beleive, I am buying from TigerDirect retail store, so it comes to about $1k give or take a few dollars.
Now the one on iBuyPower had some noticable upgrades, it had free water cooling, 6gb of ram, the i7 950, and the same case, with an MSI x58 Pro E motherboard.
That came to about $1.2k but for $200 dollars more I got an i7 with a better motherboard, more ram, and free water cooling. With the same video card and power supply as before.
Heres the link to it: iBUYPOWER Computer :: Intel X58 Core i7 Configurator
It'll be like $800 something, add a 6850, a 850 Watt corsair power supply, and a blue ray reader/writer.
The only downisde is, it takes like 20 days to arrive But anyways this for like around Juanuary, Febuary, I want to know earlier though, so I know what to do.
Also, is there a difference between the i7 950 and the 1055t? Like why is the i7 950 more expensive if it's only 4 cores and the 1055t is six? I read that every core on the i7 has 2 threads so it's actually 8 cores? (Not sure if this info is correct)
So now, I ask you guys, what should I do? iBuyPower or Build my own?
