Laptop and 2 External Monitors

Hi,

I've got a Dell Inspiron 1100 and am looking at purchasing two 17" flat panel montiors to run off this laptop.

Any suggestions as to how to get this to work?

Buy a graphics card (or new laptop) that supports two monitors. Otherwise, you're pretty much screwed.

The only way you can get two monitors to work with a laptop that only has one port, is to use a VGA splitter, but that will only produce a duplicate screen on each monitor.

is there anyway to get an adapter to use a PC video card and have it plug into my laptop?

there are docking stations for some that enable this. Also there are PCMCIA cards that used to be around, but from what I have seen of late, they don't exist anymore, or they are very expensive. I'll see if i can find out about your machine...
