Paton, calm down.
@red, for the applications you've described you won't need a power house card. And actually, a GTS 450 would probably give very comparable results to a GTX 580 in those scenarios lol. Where a 580 might take 250ms to render something, the 450 could take 320mS. The cards are still performing at the same performance ratios they would, it's just the time it takes them to do such simple stuff is so low that they may as well be equal. If you get what I mean
I'd say a GT220 might even do you.
