I was wondering...My motherboard can take upto 8gb of RAM. It has 4 slots and I was wondering if 2x4gb would be better than 4x2gb??
Thanks for any help in advance.
Also I have a EVGA 680i sli mobo
Cheers

Normally, a (2x4GB) kit would be better because using 2 slots is easier on the memory controller than using 4 slots.

But I'm not sure your motherboard can use 4GB memory modules. You have a 8GB limit and 4 slots, that's telling me each slot has a 2GB limit.

Yeah thats kinda what i was wondering, but wrongly worded haha. Anyone know if the limit is 2gb a slot.
Cheers

Thanks for the help guys. I did the crucial scan and yeah, each slot can only take 2gb.
Really appreciate all the help!!
