Hey, I have a Compaq Presario CQ5110Y and im looking for a really good graphics card and power supply unit so i can play games in high resolution. I was looking at the Radeon HD 6870, and was wondering if anyone knew if it would work with the Presario. Help would be much appreciated.

The Upgrade i was looking to do in total would be to add:

Radeon HD 6870
Antec BP550 Plus 550W Continuous Power Supply
Crucial Ballistix 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

PC Specs:

Manufacturer: Compaq-Presario
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 7550 Dual-Core Processor (2 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Memory:3070MB RAM
Hard Drive: 307 GB
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4550

The RAM you have listed will not work. Your motherboard uses DDR2, not DDR3. Go with something like this:

Other than that it all looks good.
