Is there any way to run Disk Cleanup, followed by ScanDisk and then Disk Defragmenter with the touch of a button in Windows XP home?

Does you OS have a scheduler for tasks? You can shedule them on the same day at different times. I never use it, but I know it's there, on XP at least, since you have scandisk, you must have an older OS.

Me, I just prefer watching over the comp's progess when running clean ups and maintenence, so I'm always there to start the next one when one is done.

defrag takes ages though, mine was on like 3% after 20 minutes. I cant be bothered to wait that long to defrag.

There are some faster defrag programs out there, but I don't know what they are off the top of my head. And yeah, if it takes that long, that means that you either have a slow processor, or that your harddrive is really messed up and needs it.

On a different note, what is a better program for defrag than the windows one?

I recommend Norton Speed Disk. It's much faster than defrag but there is one problem is it's NOT free.
It's been years since the last time I did it.
And if you use Linux, you don't need to defrag your hard drive at all.
