External Drive Not Detected

I have a dual boot for Windows 7 and Unbutu which the hard drive works for amazingly no problem, but my work computer is a iMac and my work laptop is a Macbook Pro, both of which are incompatible with NTFS, and I wanted to use the external on all of them.

May I ask why you wanted to do this?

Easy fix, install NTFS-3G on your iMac and MBP. It'll let your read and write to NTFS drives. As Apok said, there are very good reasons to stay with NTFS over FAT32.
