PSU and Video Card Question

Sooo current build is Phenom II x3 740 and a 5770. I'm using this PSU, Newegg.com - SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply. I was thinking of grabbing a 2nd 5770 for Crossfire in the coming weeks, think this PSU will be able to handle it?

I don't think it would be safe with 520W

I would look into a good quality brand PSU with 650+ watts

yeah i second that, not only is it not a good PSU but its under what you need for crossfire. a descent 700W will do

Yea I figured 520w might be a little low but I thought SeaSonic was a decent name brand.... I read a couple reviews of their PSU's from other sites that all said they were quality.. Oh well haha. Thanks.

Um, last I remember, Seasonic makes psus for folks like Corsair, XFX etc... They are a top notch psu maker. Heres johnny gurus review: Seasonic S12 II Bronze 520W Review it rates a 9.7 out of 10..... Thats one killer psu.

However, you do need more power for xfire, though it will sorta run but not at max load.

Yep, seasonic makes quality PSU. I had one myself and never had problems.

Ok cool, that's what I was thinking! Guess I will be asking for a 700W Modular PSU for Christmas, might as well go ahead and get a big boy for future upgrades. Any recommendations? Want to stay under $150 if possible.

I run a Silverstone 700 for my sli setup... Works good.

150 for a psu?? 97% of them are under 150, infact most are in the $100 or less now.
