Hi,

I was wondering if there was a tool out there to run analyses on various components of a computer that does not require an install.

Basically I am looking for a toned down version of Sandra SI or Futurmark.

I am possibly in the market for a new laptop/netbook. Sometimes it's nice to look at them in the store. So to have a benchmarking tool that I can take on a flash drive to test various components (RAM r/w speeds, HDD r/w speeds, Dhrystone, Whetstone, etc).

It's nice to have some objective data rather than some retard try and sell you some piece of crap.

Thanks!

I doubt stores will allow you to run software on display machines. Besides, you can just use the internet - look up a review (google '[machine] review benchmark') of any laptop/netbook/tablet that you're looking at, most of them will have a host of benchmarks already done for you.
