Hello everybody,
I'm gonna replace my processor, an e5300. Which one is better?

Price:
E5700: 60 euro's
E7500: 100 euro's

Memory clock:
E5700: 3 gHz
E7500: 2,93 gHz

Cache:
E5700: 2mb L2
E7500: 3mb L2

FSB:
E5700:800 mhz
E7500:1066 mhz

It will be used for mostly gaming, on lower settings.
The difference between the e5300 and the e5700 is 400mhz, is it worth it? I may overclock the e5300, if the overclock doesn't cause a shortened lifetime on other parts than the processor.

You also missed the e7500 is va 45nm chip vcs the e5700 is a 65nm chip.

Clock per clock the e7500 is faster with a fdaster fsb and a bigger cache. So while you may clock the e5700 more, the e7500 could still be faster.

Overclocking only shortens life when done improperly. Running too much volts or too high of a temp.

Truthfully, i'd save up some more and get an i5 1166 setup, cpu/mobo/ram or an am3 setup, instead of adding money into dead technology.
