I am wanting to build my own computer for the first time.

The pc will be used for general use and i will also be recording with a HDPVR and a tiny bit of video editing.

I have about £500.

I do not really care how good as it will beat the laptop I am currently using. As it is upgradable so for example just stick with one 2gb stick of ram for now.

I need everything apart from a monitor.

Use something like scan for parts as I am from the uk.

You need graphics card if you plan to edit video. You should have enough left over after core components to fetch a GTS 450 or HD 5670 at least, and maybe HD 5750.

a 5670 should be sufficient for light editing Sapphire HD 5670 512MB HyperMemory GDDR5 HDMI DVI.. | Ebuyer.com the cheapest one there, if you go any lower your looking at £68 for a 5470 which is much worse.

This looks pretty good thanks I think ill also get the graphics card recomended by Sniper_13,
