Which Asus mobo is better?

The M4A87TD EVO has the newer chipset that supports SATA 6GB/s and USB 3.0 . So unless you can/will benefit from those features, doesn't really matter.

Ok, so I use this computer mainly for gaming so does/will it matter if I don't have USB 3.0 or SATA 6gb/s? I have no idea what those two features are for. I just got this rig build this week so I'm not going to tear it down right now and replace a mobo. I just need to know if this board will work for me for awhile yet.

Your motherboard's just fine.

If you just built the box last week, theirs no need to replace the motherboard for an M4A87TD. Unless you're using a SSD (Solid State Drive, Google if you feel like learning more), SATA 6GB/s doesn't mean much to you. If I had your motherboard, the next time I'd upgrade it would be if the motherboard didn't support the new processor I wanted.
